Taoist Healing Massage

The Taoist definition of health is "the smooth, harmonious, abundant, and appropriate flow of Qi", and this is what I will assist you in achieving.  My massage work includes various methods of profound relaxation, sports massage and Tui Na, which is an Oriental Medicine procedure I studied in Beijing, China.  I use the philosophy of Classical Chinese Medicine based upon Taoist methods of health and healing.  These principles and techniques are the same as those used in acupuncture, but instead of needles I use an approach that integrates energy healing (Medical QiGong) and acupressure into the massage.

Massage and Medical QiGong can be done together in one treatment, or at times only one may be used depending on your personal situation and preference.

"A growing body of research confirms the efficacy of massage for a variety of illnesses and ailments. Massage has been shown to reduce blood pressure and heart rate; increase cytotoxic capacity (activity level of the body’s natural "killer cells") and decrease T-cells; enhance weight gain in pre-term infants; increase lymph flow and reduce edema; relieve and reduce certain types of back pain; and, reduce anxiety and relieve stress."
